You just need to do everything you can to keep the setup clean. Sometimes even the cleanest of vivs can get parasites of some sort though. Either from earthy substrates, live food or new animals (which is why it is important to quarrentine when introducing new ones).

Thankfully I haven't either but from what I have read parasites such as mites are almost invisible and you can get red or white mites.

When Hayley mentioned worms I'm not sure if she meant about worms as in the worms that animals can get in their digestive system, like dogs do. I not heard of reptiles getting worms like this before though.

Apparently they can get pinworms and hookworms *shudder* will have to look up the link someone gave me for online for fecal testing, the suggestion was a few times a year. Don't fancy a little lizard with worms in its stomach or lungs...

Shame you can't worm them like dogs

Doing enough research for ya Mark ! Lol

You're doing loads of research which is great!

I knew they could get internal parasites as I've heard people talking about this before. I didn't realise they were the same as worms though
