Lucas wrote: Great looking gecko. Is he going to grow more? Sorry if its a dumb question. Ahh that aint a dumb question , Yeah hes going to grow alot more, hes got atleast 3-4 inches left to grow in length, but that can be up to 6 inches more, and hes only about 93g in weight, and these geckos reach 250g at the least, but will most likely grow to 400g (as hes a GT), But some peoples GT's are 550g in weight! Cheers mark, i love his colours fired up aswell :D

Took me a little while to remember this thread wasn't about cresties. I was wondering what the hell you could possibly feeding a crestie to make it 250 grams

They grow so big because where they come from, they have a whole huge island to themselves! nothing preys on them, cause they hide in huge trees (idk how high exactly, but its rediculously high.). They call it "island gigantism". This gecko is the largest in the world (species), i can only hope for mine to be the biggest in weight in the world Note - for anyone who didnt gather, leachianus geckos are from new caledonia, the same as crested geckos . There are a few other species that come from the same area aswell, such as the gargoyle gecko, R.sarasinorum (maybe spelt wrong), and R.chaoua. There are some others aswell, but they are extremely rare and highly priced, be looking about £2500 for a pair as they are live bearers (give birth to live young, no eggs)

Amy wrote: Haha, you're so addicted Perry! He's lovely. Congrats! Lol i know amy :D but your just exactly the same muahaha! This gecko was the one you pointed out to me amy, you know where the guy was selling his full collection as he lost his job? "prem morph" but the geckos were owned by "spence74". So i would like to say thanks amy for pointing me in this direction . And if you happen to stumble across a female Mt koghis about 2-4 years old, send the link this way

Oh wowwww he's so cute! And very beautiful when fired up! You aren't helping my self control lol. I've been wanting a leachie for a few months now; I had seen one at a show in the beginning of the year and didn't know what it was. If I had believe me it probably would have come home with me Congrats on bringing your (not so) little guy home!
