ello, i was browsing some crested gecko websites that sell crested geckos..and i visited www.lillyexotics.co.uk, as thats where i got mine from...and i was stunned at what i saw on there "available" page...R.leachianus henkeli's for sale! £200 each! thats soo cheap! i sent her a message as soon as i saw, and she replied that they have both been snapped up allready, and that ppl are requesting if they can leave a £50 deposit for the R.leachianus, even the ones that aint born!!!! so i got in there quick as i could, and ive left a deposit, she said it will be 6-7 weeks, so the wait begins yet again! :D.

yeah lol but its all good, ive got the excitement of finding stuff and preparing the tank before he/she arrives (ordered the tank today ;D). Got to wait for matt to get some more of them pangea mushrooms in, then got to find a light to go in the canopy, i was thinking about repti glo 2.0 13 watts, that wont produce heat will it? cause they need same temp requirements as cresties...and they even eat crested gecko diet! lol. But yeah...with working and stuff the time should fly by..then got a holiday to centre parks coming up in late april (so 5 weeks shud be done by then) then 1 week holiday, so the gecko should be ready by then! :D. Also the tank i got was the exo terra jungle medium, it cost £96.99 and it comes with the canopy, like 3-4 different plants, large + small vine, thermometre and hygrometer, and a few other stuff, so i thought it was pretty cheap considering i paid £150 for my tank and it was a shelf display, and that wasnt including the plants and stuff! but as i said my mum haggled and got it for free lol

Sounds like you are going to be pretty busy so you wont realise where the time has gone when you get them

well im not actually sure if they need it or not..but the lights i use (repti glo 2.0 13 watts) gives off uv anyways, its the same bulb i use in my crested gecko vivarium...i did alot of research on them before, but i plan to do alot more, so il learn all this stuff as i go along . Most importantly i want to find out the size these grow too, cause different species of lechies grow to different lengths, the leachianus grand terre grow the largest, at 15-16 inches!!!! and i believe henkeli isnt to far behind! which is the one im getting .

Yay! How exciting!! I love getting a new pet, especially ones you've never kept before. I really enjoy doing all the research and things. Hopefully I'll know what I'm going to do about the Pygmy Chameleons later today
