does anyone know of a good company that make custom vivs?

i really want a custom one. the exo terra that is 45x45x60 is a fine size but the width is just like an inch too big for the side board we have him on at the moment. and don't want him to go anywhere else as he's away from draughts, slightly close to the window in our living room but it's not cold there and is in a good viewing position etc. so would want to ask for a custom one so it will fit no problem.

ive found a few websites but wondered if anyone can recommend any good services for me?

not too fussed on cost as long as it doesn't cost me the earth. especially seeing as i soley foot the bill for cat food every month (men!!!).

I have a link at work for perspex vivs i will dig out and post for you. They look amazing and obviously they can do pretty much any kind of design you like.

Have you thought about making your own custome made viv?

I made my beardie viv and polysterene shelf and steps ... i am slightly obsessed though as you can tell by my exo background and feeding shelf, lol

i could make the wooden part but i'd get to the glass bit and get stuck!

ive emailed the second link. they quoted £95 for the specifications i wanted. i sent them a poor, pooor drawing i did on paint haha.
good price i think but hope it includes delivery. they said they'd had a problem with a mesh top but i can keep the one off mine or order mesh off ebay

What size is that for and have you had any other quotes?

I would get a minimum of three quotes ... dont forget to let them know your getting a few quotes as its often a tool for haggling on price They may be able to better the deal if you let them know so play them off against each other

I really like some of the designs in the first link. They show a picture of a tall terrarium with hinged doors, great visability and excellent air flow

replying abit late here i see! but if you get the practical reptile keeping magazines theres allways custom viv makers in it with lots of link, and real good designs!

hmmm good point there perry. and everyone else really!

should hunt around first, i haven't committed to anything yet so im okay. he said he wouldn't be able to do the mesh top, i reckon id want someone who could put mesh on top of it!!
