A female Crested Gecko should really weigh at least 35 grams before breeding. This is because if she weighs less then this then she could struggle to cope with being gravid and the passing of the eggs. Cresties weighing less then this have become egg bound and died before.

A male Crestie will breed at 28 grams. Actually he would breed before this given the chance!

My female crestie got mated with when she was 32g, then went up to about 35g before laying the eggs, while my male mated her and was only 23g. My female i weighed is at 35g again (shes carrying eggs) and my male is now 26 grams.

Like mark said, its best for them to be at 35g to ensure no problems occur, however in the wild they obviously breed at any age, so they can potentially lay eggs when they are sexually mature, but it just increases the chances of the gecko not laying the eggs and dieing, than it would if she was 35g.

Hi, I have a female crested gecko and she currently weighs 26.3 grams. When do you think she will be able to breed. Approx what month or how many months until I can introduce her to the male? Thanks

You need her to be 35 grams minimum really so she should be ready next year I would have thought.
