It blocks out a lot of the UV rays. I would go for a 10% bulb if you can. I remember reading somewhere that the UB light was measure through the mesh using a 5% and it was an extremely low reading. In the winter around 10 hours and then other times of the year 12 to 14 hours a day should be fine. :-D

Yeah, maybe a bit of light in what she needed then! When you think about it, it does make sense. They are nocturnal animals so there day time is when it's dark. If it has been dark in there for a long time then then maybe she has been awake all this time and is nackered? Anyway is she in an Exo Terr...

How old is she? It is possible if she is old enough that she has some eggs which she needs to lay. I would pop a lay box in with some eco-earth or similar around 4 to 6 inches deep. This way if she does have eggs she can lay them. Sometimes they can have eggs even if they have not been with a male. ...

Hi Mark and welcome to the forum (great name by the way!)

I also take my Cresties out of their setup and feed them crickets in a seperate tub. I just keep giving them more until they don't stop eating them. I do this twice a week for my adults and youngster are offered crickets 3 times a week.
